Today’s times are really challenging and very much a test for those who are out and about. Well, it’s also these instances where you get to appreciate those artists still into creating, producing and releasing music just for the heck of it.

Enter two of Soul Fiesta‘s forward thinking urban artists: Raf Davis and Quest who’ve taken it to drop their respective singles in time for the weekend.

First up, we’ve got Raf Davis who’s brand new single “All Day” is a bouncy hustler anthem with some majestic instrumentation thrown in.

The song speaks of the art of the hustle, which basically is the way to go right now. Displaying a chill and street smart vibe, he presents his drive to succeed loud and clear which he hopes to influence the scene and his listeners with.

“Pinipilit pero no no

Oh hindi mo maloloko

Kasi trappin on the low-low

Samantalang kayo no goal”

The MV paints a a nice visual accompaniment to the whole affair, shot in a RBS warehouse in Cavite and directed by Vince Greg, it’s definitely a must watch.

“All Day” is produced by Nexxfriday and is his second single for his coming EP this October.

Another artist who’s dropping a soulful release is Quest with his new single “Good Old Days” – an uplifting “food for the soul” type track with Kuya Productions (Nelly, Christina Aguilera) – it basically speaks of the situation we’re in and quite frankly, it’s a track that we may need in these dark times.

Laced up with an old school boom bap beat, the song definitely hits you on the spot. With the positive lyrics and Quest’s undeniable buttery flow- it will leave you humming the chorus in no time.

“Take it back to the good old days

Where the sun shines and the children play

I know we can’t take the pain away

But everything’s gonna be okay”

Both single releases from Quest and Raf Davis are feel-good songs that speak volumes about all the motivation we need during these times. Speaking of quality music for the weekend (pun not intended), here’s our review of The Weeknd’s “Take My Breath MV.
