It’s not just the upcoming Air Jordan 4 Craft that’s getting the Photon Dust treatment in 2023; it appears that Nike is also bringing Photon Dust to the Zoom Vomero 5, which is one of the sneakers that Nike aims to promote in 2023 to compete against the lifestyle runner market that’s dominated by the likes of New Balance.
After gaining notoriety back in 2018 with an A-COLD-WALL collaboration, the Zoom Vomero 5 in Photon Dust focuses on a more dominant silver and gray color, which looks more muted and more modern than the vintage-inspired Oatmeal colorway that was teased a few months ago. To make this colorway stand out, the Zoom Vomero 5 Photon Dust has shiny chrome accents on the Swoosh, and toe overlays–which should make a statement that this colorway might be Nike’s answer to New Balance’s 530 that has roughly the same color blocking.
Like the Oatmeal colorway, the Photon Dust colorway retains the mesh and leather overlays that the Zoom Vomero 5 is known for. We’re not gonna lie: between the Oatmeal and the Photon Dust, we think that the latter might be the more sought-after colorway because it perfectly represents the 2000s, which is becoming popular among the youth lately.
The Photon Dust Nike Zoom Vomero 5 will reportedly be available in women’s sizing and is more expensive at $175(~Php 10k). There’s no word when they will drop globally, so stay tuned for updates.
