Way back in 2016, Pharrell Williams and Adidas took the entire sneaker community by storm when the NMD Hu Human Race pack released. Their memorable colorways of bright yellow, red, blue, and green will remain stamped in our minds as one of the most hype collections. Since then, Pharrell has remained lowkey, releasing new renditions of his trademark silhouette here and there such as the Hu Holi and Human-Made pack.
It appears Pharrell hasn’t stopped working with the, now classic, Adidas NMD Hu. Just five days ago, Pharrell went to his Instagram to post of photo of him and Quavo posing next to his upcoming projects and now we have an official look! Here are five of the newest colorways of the NMD Hu:
Adidas NMD Hu “Extra Eye” Pack
The extra eye pack boasts of a three-toned Primeknit upper with an embroidered pattern found on the sneaker’s vamp. Similar to many of Pharrell’s past NMD Hu renditions, the pack is very bright and eye-popping. These loud sneakers also sit on a full-length Boost midsole to ensure comfortability.
Adidas NMD Hu “Yellow”
Paying homage to the initial colorway that got the Adidas NMD Hu on the map, this new bright yellow colorway sure stands out. While the entire sneaker is yellow, there is some contrast provided by the pitch-black lining. The combination of yellow and black gives off a “Bruce Lee” vibe, one known to have a big impact on sneaker culture.
Adidas NMD Hu “Chocolate”
To provide darker tones, the new colorways include a dark brown “Chocolate” iteration. If you’re looking to be more lowkey while rocking Pharrell’s newest creation, this is the colorway for you. The sneaker displays two different shades of brown. While the sneaker’s panels are dark brown, the eyelets, shoelaces and blocks are composed of a lighter shade.
Adidas NMD Hu “White”
Last, but definitely not the least, Pharrell and Adidas also offer a triple white colorway. A fan favorite for any silhouette, the all-white tone allows you to pair this sneaker with any of your outfits. Similar to the “Yellow” colorway, the triple white sneaker has a pitch-black lining that provides contrast from the rest of the shoe’s design.
