Nike and OFF-WHITE, a partnership that never fails to over-deliver, have managed to yet again grab the attention of sneakerheads and streetwear fans alike. Although there have been recent releases from this partnership such as the Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk, there has been a pair that has caused high anticipation:
The Off-White x Jordan 5 “Sail”.
Thanks to @repgod888, a well-known page for upcoming sneaker releases, we are able to see the pair up close. At first glance, the intentional yellowing of the sneaker pops out, giving off the impression of an aged pair. In this yellow detailing are the signature Off-White zip ties, midfoot netting, eye stays, and outsole. Along with this, the traditional red found in the OG Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is present in the midsole, Jumpman logo, and 23 graphic.
Although, this isn’t the only product part of the upcoming collection. @PY_RATES, a trusted future drop specialist, has detailed the apparel scheduled to be partnered with the Off-White x Jordan 5 “Sail”. As of now, apparel includes a black and white hoodie and a black and white t-shirt.
Hoodies
The hoodies from the collection are made out of heavyweight material, with two different tones of panels. For the white colorway, the hoodie sees a white and off-white tone, while the black colorway makes use of black and dark grey. Both hoodies are identical except for their color, a red Jumpman logo is found on the front of the piece, while the signature OFF-WHITE arrows with the Wings logo is embroidered on the back. According to @PY_RATES, the hoodie has an expected retail price of $150 (Php 7.3k).
For streetwear fans, this collaboration may look a little familiar. We can see parallels in design to the Travis Scott x Jordan collaboration that took place late last year. With a similar position of red Jumpman branding, both hoodie designs give off a similar overall aesthetic.
T-Shirts
The white shirt features hand-illustrated graphics by Philip Burke, continuing his “Hoop Heroes” series. Partnered with this, OFF-WHITE and Nike branding can be found on the shirt’s sleeve and rear shoulders. On the other hand, the black shirt mimics the hoodie’s design with two different panels and bright red OFF-WHITE x Jordan branding. The white T-shirt is expected to be priced at $100 (Php 4.9k).
