In Protro form, of course
The Kobe 6 is one of the most well-recognized signature sneakers of Kobe Bryant under Nike. With the Kobe 4 being the focus for the Protro treatment this year, new reports indicate that the Kobe 6 is getting the same treatment next year, making Kobe fans excited.
Even more exciting are the rumored colorways, as each of them are significant for a good reason. Let’s check them out:
Challenge Red
As the first Protro colorway that was confirmed, the Challenge Red is special as it is the colorway Kobe wore during the 2011 All-Star Game. That year is particularly memorable, as Kobe was hailed the MVP, contributing 37 points and 14 rebounds.
Grinch
The dominant green colorway is well-recognized as this was the official “Christmas” colorway for the Kobe 6. Giving it Christmas feels are red accents throughout the upper, along with red laces. That Christmas day is memorable as Kobe and the Lakers went off against LeBron James and the Heat.
Del Sol
Bearing a Lakers Away color blocking, the Del Sol is the debut colorway of the Kobe 6. It’s logical for Nike to re-release this in Protro form. And who knows—Lebron James might rock them for a game or two as a fitting tribute to Kobe’s legacy.
Think Pink
Part of Nike’s Breast Cancer Awareness collection, this colorway has a dominant pink upper paired with white and silver. Who says tough guys can’t rock pink?
3D Hollywood
With its trippy upper (hence, the 3D in the name), this colorway is one of the three models Kobe wore during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game (the other being the Challenge Red mentioned earlier). The 3D-esque upper is paired with blue and black accents, along with a translucent outsole.
And those are the rumored Kobe 6 Protro colorways coming next year! Which other Kobe 6 colorways do you want to see in Protro form?
