Kobe Bryant’s early years as part of the Lakers are best remembered by his Kobe 1 signature sneaker. Now known as the Crazy 1, adidas is bringing back the iconic basketball sneaker in the Lakers Home colorway. This follows after reissuing the “Stormtrooper” and “Sunshine” Crazy 1 early this year.
Marking its first return since 2006, the “Lakers Home” Crazy 1 stays true to the original colorways with its Lakers-inspired color blocking that consists of Footwear White, Court Purple, and Bold Gold. What makes this colorway special is that Kobe wore them during the 2002 NBA Finals, where the Lakers clinched a three-peat Championship against the New Jersey Nets.
Footwear White is prominently used on the upper and midsole, while Bold Gold complements it in the outsole, heel cup, and sock liner. Court Purple serves as accents to the toe tip molds, adidas branding on the tongue, and part of the midsole.
Like the OG, you get that sleek upper that’s co-designed with Audi, along with a Torsion cushioning system for the midsole.
The “Lakers Home Crazy 1 is set to drop in the US on November 11. No word yet on a global release, but expect these to be priced at Php 8,000 when they drop in the Philippines via adidas Online or at the Brand Center in Glorietta.
