While the NMD R1 PK may not be as hype as it used to be, the lifestyle Boost runner is part of adidas’ core offerings. Atmos recently gave the silhouette a twist, and the silhouette also got Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and Yoda-themed models. For this upcoming NMD R1 model, adidas pays tribute to the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.
For this model, you get a clean black Primeknit upper that is free of seam overlays for a clean look. You get red accents on the ankle area, and a large dragon patch on the heel, giving it a unique design element.
Completing the look is a white Boost midsole and outsole. This is one of the better NMD models that adidas released recently (if you don’t include spin-offs like the Mita TS1 or the R1 v2), and is proof that there’s still some life left in the 5-year old model.
The NMD R1 Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is available at adidas’ US webstore for $150(~Php 7.6k).
