It is 2008 all over again as adidas brings back its A-ZX collective with 26 fresh new collabs. This time, the collective will focus more on the ZX xxxx models (the 2008 collective had a mix of ZX xxx and ZX xxxx), elaborating more on the adidas’ use of Torsion tech.
The program kicked off with letter R: in the form of a reissue of the ZX 1000, where you get the silhouette’s OG colorway, along with a vintage treatment. There’s still a good size run over at the adidas web store, and at Php 6,000 it is a great deal especially for the retro ‘heads.
For the next set of models, adidas will be focusing on “J” and “Ht” with the Juventus ZX 6000 and Hey Tea ZX 6000.
Hey Tea is a Chinese tea chain, and the collab consists of purple and pink blending along with white for its mesh and synthetic upper, paying homage to the chain’s line of teas. This collab gets tea-inspired graphics on the toebox, blocked cheese on the heel tab, and a person drinking tea on the tongue tag.
Juventus, on the other hand, is Italy’s Serie A football team. For this collab, you get an all-leather upper in white and black, with the orange waxed laces providing contrast for the sneaker. Completing the look is Juventus’ crest on the heel tab and insoles.
Both the Juventus and Hey Tea collab should de dropping soon, though there is no word yet if it will have a global release like the ZX 1000 Reissue.
