As adidas continues its A-ZX collection in 2021, the Three Stripes focuses on the letter T this time, which represents Torsion–one of the defining technologies of later-era ZX sneakers.
Originally constructed using Kevlar, the Torsion bar served as a bridge between the heel and forefoot, allowing both areas to move as one for improved running performance. Just like the original Torsion bar, this ZX 5000 adopts the loud Yellow color of the iconic stabilizer, leaving accents of black at select parts of the sneaker. Completing the look is retro Torsion branding on the tongue.
The ZX 5000 Torsion is set to drop on January 22 globally, though we are waiting for further confirmation from adidas Philippines.
