Marvel continues its streak of MCU film releases for the year with the upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder. Despite experiencing delays for their theatrical releases in the past due to the pandemic, Marvel and Disney are relentlessly keeping up with their schedule and line of movies. Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released here in the Philippines on July 6 — that’s two days earlier than in other countries — but the good news is that you can already purchase your tickets as early as today thanks to the advance ticket sales for the film.
Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder is one of the several films from the studio that has fans in utter excitement. This excitement dates back to when Kevin Feige first dropped huge news back in July 2019, specifically in regards to the return of actress Natalie Portman who has portrayed the role of Jane Foster. Foster was last seen back in the Thor sequel, Dark World, and has been missing in action ever since. The return of the character, however, was all the more exciting due to the nature of Portman’s role in this film where she is set to introduce The Mighty Thor — the female counterpart to Hemsworth’s Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder will continue from where Endgame left us with Thor joining the Guardians of the Galaxy as they travel the various corners of the galaxy. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) however will face one of his most difficult obstacles to date — that involves a journey of self-discovery. Thor must fight personal demons while going toe-to-toe with a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. Thankfully Thor will have some company along the way as he enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) who as mentioned will be welding the magical hammer Mjolnir in this film as the Mighty Thor.

Together, our heroes must embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. This aspect to the film has fans in a state of excitement as well as Christian Bale’s villainous portrayal is set to be one of the most terrifying antagonists that any Marvel hero must face to date. The first looks into the character have been nothing but brilliant and fans must wait and see how both Bale and the character itself would alter the MCU story as we know it.
As mentioned Marvel fans can now purchase tickets in advance for Thor: Love and Thunder. Skip the anticipated long queues on July 6 by going to the Disney Ph website to check out the screening times. You can then go to your nearest or favorite cinema to purchase tickets for the film as early as today.
