While the Air Jordan 1 Low has enjoyed its fair share of popularity over the past 2 years, it is still far from the OG version that was released in 2016 to 2017. That version uses Nike Air tongue tags, along with the same branding on the insoles and a toe box that is closer to the original 1985 releases.
For 2021, Jordan brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 1 Low OG, and its first model is this special edition Chinese New Year colorway. Using the classic Bred colorway as the base, this version makes use of canvas instead of leather, with the entire upper covered in Chinese graphics that include depictions of the Ox–because 2021 is the Year of the Ox.
Unique to this pair is the red lacing around the ankle collar, where you get a hanging tassel in gold and gold Jumpman tips.
Given the theme, expect these to drop sometime in February in time for Chinese New Year for $130(~Php 6.3k). Aside from being an OG version, the price premium for these involves the materials used and the special packaging that includes a CNY-themed Air Jordan 1 box.
