Not even the pandemic can stop ANTA from expanding its presence in the Philippines, as the sportswear brand opened its 7th store in the Philippines at Robinsons Place Manila. The opening of the store is perfectly symbolized by the official launch of the ANTA KT7, NBA Superstar Klay Thompson’s 7th signature sneaker, in the Philippines.
Thompson’s 7th signature marks an era where he returns on the court after suffering an ACL injury during the 2019 NBA Finals and tearing his Achilles before the start of the 2020-21 season. This brings in the design concept “above the waters” as how the KT7 and the rest of the apparel collection reflect Thompson’s battle through the hardest barriers and toughest battles.
Two colorways of the KT7 will be made available in the Philippines: Blank Space and Rocco. Blank Space features a dominant white body with accents of green, with all snow-white segments highlighting key features of science and technology. Rocco, on the other hand, features a graphic upper featuring portrait and food images of Thompson’s pet dog Rocco.
Key features of the KT7 include a NitroSpeed cushioning system for better energy return, a Smart SAM system that consists of shock absorption molecules, and fluid, bulletproof materials to give adequate support to the ankles and knees.
Aside from the KT7 and the accompanying sportswear collection, the ANTA store in Robinsons Place Manila also has the latest pieces from the brand ranging from running, cross-training, boxing, to lifestyle. In addition to that, pieces from Gordon Hayward’s line are also available at the store.
The ANTA KT7 is priced at Php 7,995 in the Philippines and is available in select ANTA branches and Titan.
