Zack Snyder is taking us back into a zombie-infested wasteland in Army of the Dead, which starts streaming on Netflix this May 21. Unlike his romp with the DCEU, the world he created for Army of the Dead is his and his alone, and there isn’t any other cut in this zombie-heist flick aside from what drops in Netflix. And before the movie drops on Netflix, you can watch a portion of the Army Of The Dead via a sneak peek on YouTube, showing off the first 15 minutes of the new zombie heist movie, though you’re going to have to work for the privilege.
This is not the first time that a few minutes of a film would be shown prior to the actual release date. And no, these first few minutes are not some bootleg, blurry, caught-on cam clips uploaded on Youtube – this sneak peek is officially released by Netflix and follows the same marketing style as Warner Bros’ Mortal Combat.
Netflix and Snyder put their own twist on this sneak peek’s release by completely turning it into a heist for fans. Yes, that’s right! As Snyder announced through Twitter, we will have some “digging” to do on our end.
Ready to see the first 15 minutes of #ArmyOfTheDead? You’re going to have to do some digging. Don't miss the livestream on May 13th, 10AM PT. https://t.co/DrD44c4lIj

Army Of The Dead Sneak peek: The Blueprint Of Snyder’s Heist
We are sent into a heist of our own, and we think the interactive nature of this sneak peek is a brilliant way to involve fans prior to the film’s release. To start on your journey you’ll have to retweet the post above, and you’ll also have to attend the interactive livestream event on Friday, May 14, at 1 a.m. (here in the Philippines) on Netflix’s YouTube channel. The platform has teased that “appearances” by Zack Snyder, Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, and many more will be done on the livestream.
Army of the Dead combines two action film plots into one — a bank heist and a zombie apocalypse. If you aren’t excited with those two concepts in one movie, there might be something wrong in the part of your braind that feels joy. Former WWE superstar Dave Bautista plays Scott Ward, who is contracted by shady billionaire Bly Tanaka (played by Hiroyuki Sanada) to steal 200 million dollars in a zombie-infested Las Vegas. Ward Assembles a team of mercenaries to accomplish the daunting task but they soon learn that they’re not facing off against run-of-the-mill zombies.
Aside from giving fans a glimpse into the absolute gorefest that’s the Army of the Dead, Netflix is also providing fans unique prizes behind the vault in the virtual heist. And anyone even remotely interested in zombie films and shows should also be comforted by the fact that Netflix is also lining up an anime series spin-off, a prequel, and a possible sequel to the movie. That means this is just the beginning of things to come for the world inside Army of the Dead. Make sure to mark your calendars for the Army Of The Dead Sneak peek and live stream event on May 14 and the release of Army of the Dead on May 21.
