In addition to Momoa, James Wan returns to the director’s chair alongside returning actors such as Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, and Patrick Wilson as Orm. What We Can Expect From The Aquaman Sequel
The short behind-the-scenes clip showcased the deep and rich new worlds that the Aquaman sequel would take us. From the freezing Arctic oceans to ancient tombs and jungles, the sequel continues to take us on a fantastic adventure journey but on an even bigger scaled experience from its predecessor. The set pieces and concept art for the film truly depict a film that has been elevated to greater heights for fans to enjoy. The behind of the scenes looks also boasted the returning cast members who look even better than before as the story looks to provide deeper character development for all our favorite heroes and villains.
James Wan stated that the Aquaman sequel is a more “mature offering (compared to its predecessor) while still retaining its fun to give audiences something different and something that they haven’t seen before”. Wan also stated that the sequel once again centers on the villain, Black Manta whose hunger and thirst for revenge against Aquaman is bigger than before.
The success behind the first Aquaman film can be attributed to the entire cast’s efforts and seamless chemistry, the top-notch visual and cinematic experience, and the visionary direction of Wan which we will all once again receive for this sequel.
