The underrated runner gets more non-collab colorways

Nike and Stussy collaborated once again this year with an apparel collection and two sneakers. Stussy’s Swoosh kicks of choice? The Zoom Spiridon Cage 2.

Initially intended for the Japanese market back in 2003, the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 was designed by Steven Smiththe same person in charge of designing Yeezy sneakers. Smith designed the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 to appeal not just to Japanese sneakerheads, but to other sneakerheads across the globe.

Aside from its caged Zoom Air unit, the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 has a unique upper. Before weight-saving tech like Flyknit existed, Smith designed the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2’s upper to be as lightweight as possible with open-space mesh and minimal leather paneling.

An original pair from 2003.

Following a 2020 comeback with the Stussy collab, Nike will be introducing a plethora of colorways for the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2. There are at least 11 colorways expected to drop in the coming months. Check them out below:

There’s no official release date for all colorways yet. Expect them to gain hype with their associations to Yeezy’s current designer and Travis Scott.
