Final Fantasy VII is arguably one of the most well-loved series from the iconic RPG franchise, spanning several spinoffs beyond the core game itself. With a large fanbase here and abroad, Filipino cosplayers geared up with a Final Fantasy VII Reunion photoshoot–with all of them dressed up as key characters from the game.
As a follow up to their Arcane cosplay shoot last year, doing this shoot with a Final Fantasy VII theme is special for them, as they are big fans of the franchise.
We’re back with something even bigger, lining up with Square Enix’s Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII- Reunion, a prequel and origin story for one the most iconic titles in video game history. “Crisis Core is what seriously got me into FFVII as a whole. It’s also what made me want to start cosplaying because i dreamt of looking like these characters.” Zackt said.
“Not only is it a dream shoot for a lot of us, but it also felt cathartic since everyone involved had been friends for ages! We were all extremely comfortable helping direct one another and it honestly felt like we were just goofing around and playing despite the results being as good as they are!” Cholo said.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
