Spring was a good time for Jordan fans and sneakerheads as we a multitude of retro releases hit the shelves. While some pairs from the Spring collection had more hype than others, it was a great collection overall. And just when it seems that things can’t get any better for the world of sneakers, Jordan Brand unveils its Fall 2021 Retro Collection. Several iterations of the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 6, Air Jordan 11, and even Air Jordan 12 find their way to the set of upcoming releases.
Air Jordan 1
We just can’t seem to get enough Jordan 1s, and the brand knows it. The Fall 2021 Retro Collection is led by the iconic silhouette, donning a black and yellow smooth leather upper, dubbed “Pollen”. The sneaker is reminiscent of the iconic “Wu-Tang” Dunks due to the strong use of black and yellow together. The second pair of the collection is the “Electro Orange” colorway of the Jordan 1. With a distinct black and orange color scheme, the sneaker evokes some “Shattered Backboard” memories.
Aside from the first two sneakers, Jordan Brand has also included women exclusive pairs in their upcoming collection. The first women exclusive pair incorporates very light and subtle tones to achieve a pastel aesthetic. With the use of white, faded olive, and orange laces, a very crisp sneaker is produced. Last but definitely not least for the Jordan 1 pairs, the Air Jordan 1 High “Seafoam” incorporates a perforated collar, allowing wearers to alternate between rocking a high-top and a low-top.
Air Jordan 3
The Air Jordan 3 is met with a “Racer Blue” colorway that boasts black and blue detailing among a predominantly crisp white upper. From the looks of it, this sneaker can find its way to being a future classic.
Air Jordan 4
Once again geared towards the ladies out there, the Air Jordan 4 is supposedly inspired by different shades of makeup. From light pink to bronze shades, this sneaker boasts a unique colorway that is sure to turn the heads of OG Jordan fans. In addition to this, the branding found on the pair’s tongue is electroplated, which is inspired by the mirrors that are used in makeup palettes.
Air Jordan 5
The Air Jordan 5 from this collection sets itself apart from previous retros. While we have become used to the materials utilized in the silhouette’s upper, Jordan brand decided to change things up a bit by incorporating a textile mesh lining for the shoe’s collar, quarter panel, and tongue bottoms.
Air Jordan 6
The Air Jordan 6 presents us with a dark and light option. Inspired by the Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux”, the darker iteration of the Air Jordan 6 boasts shades of grey, orange, and even purple. On the other hand, the light option among the two is once again geared towards ladies. The pair pays homage to gilded earrings as it comes packaged with golden hoops on the shoe’s lace toggle.
Air Jordan 11 Low IE
In this collection, the Air Jordan 11 Low IE makes a well-anticipated return! The colorway is rather simple as it can be broken down into three different shades of pink, black, and white. Despite this simplicity, the sneaker stands its ground among the rest of the collection.
Air Jordan 12
Just like the Air Jordan 6s, the Air Jordan 12 also offers two distinctly different shades. The lighter shade is made up of smooth white leather uppers and “Metallic Red” to reflect a classic Chicago Bulls colorway. As for the darker shade, we see a predominantly black upper sitting on top of a muted navy NikeGrind outsole.
Air Jordan 13
The Air Jordan 13 comes in the OG fashion of a leather upper and textile tongue bottoms, treated with a familiar “Obsidian” color scheme. With such a simple colorway, you simply can’t go wrong with this pair!
Air Jordan 14 Low IE
The final sneaker of the collection is the Air Jordan 14, which comes in a lipstick-like colorway. While the sneaker is majority black, bold red collars and throats give off a cosmetic effect. The contrast within the sneaker is not too much, yet not too little.
While all of the sneakers a part of this upcoming collection are exciting, the women’s exclusive sneakers boast a high sense of innovation and creativity. There’s no doubt Jordan Brand decided to spoil the ladies a little more this Fall. What are you eyeing out of the collection? If you’re planning to cop a pair from Jordan Brand’s Fall 2021 retro collection, the sneakers will begin dropping on Nike SNKRS and at certain retailers such as Foot Locker in the upcoming months. Make sure to keep your ears peeled for updates on when the pairs will hit local stores such as Titan!
