The may be named Little Mix, but their footprint in the world is anything but little. Their 4th album, Glory Days, was number 1 for 5 straight weeks at the Billboard 200. To top that off, in August of this year, they became the 1st girl group to land 100 weeks in the UK Official Singles Chart’s Top 10, their longest staying track being Sweet Melody, which stayed for 13 weeks.
Really, it seems like they’re on a roll, because today, they released Love (Sweet Love), a new song from their upcoming album, Between Us, which celebrates Little Mix’s 10 years in the industry.
Much Love for Little Mix and Love (Sweet Love)
Love (Sweet Love) is a fresh Little Mix song that is a powerful anthem for women on independence, self-love, and empowerment. The group is known for its strong vocals, catchy basses, and empowering messages. Truly, this song delivers these facets, accompanied by a fresh arrangement that sounds more grown-up than their previous work.
The music video, on the other hand, showcases the ladies dressed as goddesses. We are somehow underwhelmed with the creative aspect of the video as well as the energy that it gave. Of course, we laud the girls Perrie, Leigh–who worked hard to make the music video come to life despite being pregnant–and Jade–for spicing things up with her fierceness and screen presence.
Little Mix is a British girl group with members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. In 2011, they became the first group to win the UK version of The X Factor, a feat that skyrocketed them to worldwide fame. Between Us, the group’s 10th-anniversary album, is scheduled to be released on November 12, 2021. It will include 18 of their previously released singles and 5 new songs. In the meantime, if you are in the mood for more music, check out these new releases. Enjoy!
