Jaden Smith definitely got the genes of is equally awesome dad Will Smith. From making his own name through a creative medium, Jaden showcases his talent through fusing luxury with streetwear. That is now a reality with his sneaker collab with New Balance.
Called the Vision Racer, Jaden used elements of the X-Racer and 1700 for the upper and added a thicc, chunky, platform-like midsole that is divided into three sections. His material of choice is also environment-friendly, as the base is made from 60% recycled polyester
Personal touches to the sneaker include a loud Vision branding on the translucent outsole, Jaden’s signature on the insole, and repeating Vision branding on the midfoot piping.
Jaden’s execution on this sneaker is a good example of transforming what is a “basic” sneaker to most people into one that screams avantgarde, rivaling those being offered by luxury brands like Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton.
Jaden’s collab sneaker is slated to drop on July 24 for $150(~Php 7.5k). There’s no word yet if they will make it to our shores as of this writing.
