Rose has been making waves after her appearance at this year’s MET Gala and as the latest poster girl for Saint Laurent, while Lisa is fresh off her solo debut that has been a massive hit globally.
Aside from her solo debut and being the muse for Bulgari, Lisa is also making waves once again as she is part of the latest song from DJ Snake entitled SG. With American rapper Megan Thee Stallion and Puerto Rican singer Ozuna joining in for the mix, SG is simply a solid DJ Snake-produced track that epitomizes the meaning of an epic song collab.
While there’s no denying that SG is another DJ Snake banger that is perfect for dancing, exercising, or running, what makes the song great is how it blends the musical talents of Ozuna, Megan, and Lisa.
Listening through the song, you get a balanced mix of Ozuna’s Latino Pop prowess, Megan’s slick rapping, and Lisa’s unexpectedly good singing prowess. There’s a special emphasis for Lisa, as she is not really known for singing in Blackpink.
As for the music video, SG delivers a perfect summer vibe that makes us miss the pre-pandemic days of partying and hanging out with friends. The music video does a good job of showcasing Megan’s twerking skills and Lisa’s acclaimed dance talent. Ozuna, on the other hand, perfectly encapsulates the whole RnB/HipHop vibe of the song.
DJ Snake is known for coming up with bangers like Turn Down for What, Lean On, Let Me Love You, and Taki Taki, and SG is shaping to be another solid track from the French-Algerian producer. Beyond the catchiness of the song itself, another reason why SG is going to be this year’s summer anthem is its diverse set of collaborators that comprises notable artists that excel in reggaeton (Ozuna), Hip-hop (Megan), and KPop (Lisa).
