Another one from the Sportswear archives
Aside from tried-and-tested classics like the Air Max 95, Nike has been digging through its archives for pairs that deserve to be retroed. One of them is the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2, which initially came back through a collaboration with Stussy.
Nike has dug through the archives once again—this time in its early 1990s collection with the Air Cross Trainer 3 Low. A pair that came out in 1990, the Air Cross Trainer 3 Low takes cues from the Air Trainer SC famously worn by Bo Jackson.
Like the Air Trainer SC, the Air Cross Trainer 3 Low is meant to be an all-around sneaker that can be used for basketball, for weight training, and for football fields.
For its comeback, Nike will be dropping two dominant white pairs: one with black and turquoise accents, and one with sport blue, black, and soft gray accents. Aside from the GR releases, the Air Cross Trainer 3 Low is rumored to be the next Supreme x Nike collab as well.
Should Nike find more retro-worthy pairs in its archives?
