If you think the latest iterations of the Dunk are starting to get boring, this may restore your faith a little bit. Going for the tear away concept this time around—Nike has something a bit different for us all. A throwback to the good old days via a tribute to the “City Attack” pack all the way from 1999. OG collectors will be delighted with this Dunk model called Flip the Old School.
Coming in fresh-packed in tear-away tissue paper similar to those “Timeless Classic Keep Fresh” Air Force 1’s—these Dunks, we admit, are pretty interesting.
Packed with graphics that pay homage to the “Be True To Your School” Pack, the newspaper-like layer peels off to reveal a purple and white colorway. The shoe features a flipped out look with a reversed swoosh (Travis Scott Vibes…it’s lit!) and backwards Nike branding on the heel, insoles as well as the tongues.
If you were to ask us, this Dunk is a must have for the reversed Swoosh alone! Ever saw the manufacturing error Jordan 1s that fetched high prices? We definitely get that vibe with this shoe!
The ostrich leather, the gold accents and the graphic insoles all are reasons to make this a shoe to watch out for. Definitely a deviation from the past releases which were really underwhelming. This though is another story, this shoe will make up for it hopefully!
One funny detail is that we are getting this free keychain—something that has been a thing with recent Air Jordan 3 and 4 releases. It’s high time we got something extra with our shoes right, Nike?
Dropping anytime this 2021, best be on your toes and do all the hard work to get the Dunk Low Flip the Old School for retail. You know the drill: once you miss out, then it’s over!
