Nike unveils the latest flagship sneaker under the LeBron line with the LeBron XXI. The new sneaker is inspired by Zhuri, LeBron James’ daughter, with the notion of protecting the modern player. Its upper is inspired by an oyster shell and makes use of lightweight materials with venting for added breathability during intense foot movements. This is made possible with the use of a lightweight mono-mesh that’s reinforced by 360 degrees of zonal cables around the midfoot for added support.
The perforations on the medial Swoosh provide additional breathability, while the midsole houses a Zoom Turbo unit on the forefoot and a 13mm Zoom unit. Both cushioning systems are joined by a full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam and a TPU midfoot shank for improved stability with dynamic movements.
Given its inspiration from oyster shells, the exposed foxing gives the upper a shell-like appearance, while the perforated foam tongue’s quilted finish imitates a shell’s appearance.
The LeBron XXI will be available globally in full family sizing on September 28.
