Said to coincide with the upcoming Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time movie
After releasing a limited-edition Mobile Suit Gundam edition last year with the Reno Ace, OPPO is releasing a limited edition Evangelion edition for the Ace2. Based on the leaked render, this version sports minimalist, Evangelion-inspired decals on the Ace2’s back panel, with the NERV logo placed on top of OPPO’s branding.
Specs will most likely be the same with the vanilla Ace2: Snapdragon 865, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage, 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 90hz refresh rate, and a 4000mAh battery with 65w wired charging and 40w wireless charging.
There’s no word yet when this version will launch, but reports said that it should have launched together with the premiere of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. However, the movie’s premiere has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
