While it may have been very sad news for football fans to hear about Neymar Jr.’s recent departure from Nike, Jordan Brand ensures they won’t be missing out. Alongside the recent announcement of the stacked lineup of both retro and modern Jordan silhouettes releasing in Holiday 2020, the Jordan Brand unveiled the Paris-Saint Germain x Air Jordan 4.
Other than the interesting history Neymar Jr and Nike present, the cross between the football and basketball world serves to be an exciting element. Despite the Air Jordan 4’s purpose being for the hardwood floor during Jordan’s era, the sneaker has become a popular casual staple. This time around, it does not only cater to fashion enthusiasts but football fans alike.
This Air Jordan 4 silhouette is predominantly white, with accents of Burgundy and black, found on the sneakers midsole, eyelets, heel tabs, and collar trim. The perfect balance of light and dark colors provides a contrast to the sneaker while still maintaining its serious yet sport-centric aesthetic.
The most evident part of this collaboration is found on the sneaker’s back end. Rather than having the signature Jumpman branding alone, the logo is partnered with the PSG crest. The cohesiveness of this logo and collaboration is what contributes to the overall great design.
The release is scheduled to take place on October 10 through Nike SNKRS with a price tag of $225(~Php 11k). What are your thoughts on this upcoming release? Let us know in the comments below!
