As one of adidas’ longtime collaborators, Pharrell Williams flexed his creativity once again with the Superstar. As the iconic silhouette celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, Pharrell reimagined the Superstar with a full Primeknit upper that also has the shelltoe decked in it as well.
Known for his unusual designs, Pharrell designed his new Superstar collab by adding patchwork details to the Primeknit upper—for the lateral side, that’s yellow for the white pair and brown for the black pair.
Things get more dynamic on the medial side, as both models get three different colored Primeknit patches, with the Trefoil tag handing on the medial side instead of the tongue. Of course, this is not a true Pharrell collab without his famous tag phrases—in the case of this Superstar, it is “human race” written on the back tab.
Both colorways are expected to drop in the coming months for $140(~Php 7.1k).
