Earlier this year, following the tragic passing of one of our generation’s greatest creatives, Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton unveiled his last collection for the fashion house. Understanding that Abloh’s designs should be accessible to all of his fans, LV decided to make its Runner Tatic Trainer from Spring/Summer 2022 available internationally instead of just the Louis Vuitton Miami menswear store. With that being said, the Runner Tatic Trainer is currently available online and in-stores in the United Kingdom in a variety of colors. Let’s take a closer look.
The runner comes in numerous eccentric colorways, which include the signature green, mixture of brown hues, and combination of blues, pinks, and greens altogether. For more subtle options, LV also delivered the shoe in an all-black and all-white colorway. The sneaker is composed of a mixture of materials, such as mesh and suede, which compose the base and overlaying panels respectively. While the retro runner aesthetic is nothing new to this day and age, the configuration of the upper panels and LV logo on the side panel is still intriguing to view.
Signature LV motifs find their way onto the sneaker through the shoe’s lower section of the rear-quarter and tongue. As you can see above, “VUITTON” etched into the midsole sits right under the flower monogram patches. In addition, the entire brand name, “LOUIS VUITTON” is spelled out on the pair’s tongue.
Unlike other sneakers, the LV Runner Tatic differs in price depending on what colorway you choose. While the cheapest colorway has a price tag of $1,220 (~Php 63k), the most expensive colorway is priced at $1,300 (~Php 67k). With that being said, take your pick on Louis Vuitton’s U.K. site or Louis Vuitton’s U.S. site and in select stores now.
