Definitely the hottest retro of 2020
2020 is a banner year for the Nike Dunk. Kicking off with the low-cut Syracuse and Kentucky Dunk Lows, Nike has teamed up with different brands to work on both low and high cut versions of the Dunk. Here’s what’s in store so far:
Nike x Kasina
With the Co.Jp Dunks as one of Nike’s memorable releases in the early 2000s, the Swoosh aims to replicate the same concept with its collab with Korean retailer Kasina. The collab is rumored to have three colorways, all sporting a white midsole and off-white overlays in the upper.
Two of them will have blue Swooshes and outsole, while one will have a red Swoosh and outsole. The blue-themed pairs have either University Gold or Neptune Green as overlay options, while the red-themed pair sticks to a University Gold options.
The trio is said to drop sometime Fall.
Nike x Slam Jam
Nike’s upcoming collab With Slam Jam keeps it clean with two dominant white pairs. Distinguishing them from one another is the color of the Swoosh and outsole–you can choose either Sky Blue or Neutral Black, with both having a shiny texture that is speculated to be see-through PVC.
Both pairs are expected to drop at around Fall.
Nike x Bodega
Nike is set to do another collab with retailer Bodega, this time using the Dunk High. While they have neutral colors, colorway options include either a straightforward Magic Ember Swoosh or an eccentric Rainbow Swoosh.
Both pairs are rumored to drop this Holiday 2020.
Nike x Cactus Plant Flea Market
As a follow-up to their VaporMax, Blazer, and Air Force 1 Low collaborations, Nike taps Cactus Plant Flea Market once again to work on the Dunk Lows. Both Pure Platinum and Spiral Sage colorways have a subtle tone and will feature CPFM’s logo on the lateral quarter panel.
Both pairs are expected to drop this Holiday 2020.
Non-collab Dunk Lows that look equally good
While the four upcoming Dunk collab are just renders, Nike will be releasing more mainstream Dunk Lows other than the Syracuse and Kentucky colorways. The upcoming colorways include the Brazil, University Red, and Champ Colors.
The Brazil will drop on May 21, while the University Red will release on June 12. If you want the Champ Colors, they will release on June 24. All three colorways are expected to be priced at Php 4,995 should they become available here in the Philippines.
That’s it for our quick roundup of upcoming non-SB Dunks for 2020. Which Dunks do you look forward to the most?
