As part of its push for sustainability, Vans brings the all-new Circle Vee sneaker to the Philippines. This sneaker is special for the brand, as it is made from natural and organic materials.
The Circle Vee maintains the classic Vans DNA while featuring a one-piece natural white knitted upper. The upper is stitched directly into the outsole and is made from 48% organic cotton, 47% hemp, and 5% nylon, while the laces are made from 100% jute natural fibers.
The footbed makes use of Vans’ new EcoCush cushioning that’s made from 70% biobased FATES foam, which is derived from plant-based oils. The gum-colored EcoWaffle outsole, on the other hand, is made from natural rubbers that are obtained from sources that follow proven ethical and sustainable practices.
The rubber compound was developed in-house and has the same grip and durability as Vans’ traditional waffle outsoles that are made from petroleum-derived synthetic rubbers.
To support and protect the world’s oceans, Vans will be donating $1 for every Circle Vee product sold—with a minimum of $25,000 donated—to the Tides Foundation to support Ocean Conservancy.
The Circle Vee is priced at Php 6,998 and is available at select Vans stores nationwide and online via the official Vans Philippines Chat & Shop Store.
