With the majority of us being in a WFH setup for close to two years, we have most likely swapped sneakers for a comfy pair of slides. Aside from being practically easier to wear, slides are usually more affordable than sneakers. World Balance wants a share of that lucrative footwear category, and they have the Asterion slides to answer the need for comfy WFH footwear.
The Asterion has an adjustable strap that should suit all foot types (wide-footed individuals included) and makes use of a mix of synthetic leather and mesh for the upper. All three colorways–white/black, black/red, and grey/black, feature color blocking that’s reminiscent of the brand’s Invictus sneakers. In a nutshell, the Asterion feels like a slide version of the Invictus.
Like the Invictus, the Asterion features a chunky silhouette with a sculpted midsole that makes them look like a sneaker’s midsole. They have a 2-piece design, with the insole using World Balance’s S-Foam. These make the Asterion soft and comfy when worn while giving adequate cushioning.
Completing the look is the outsole that features deep traction grooves to ensure that you don’t accidentally slip at home–on top of making the Asterion durable enough for everyday wear.
The Asterion Slides is priced at Php 799 and is available at all authorized World Balance stores and at their online shop.
